This tax stems from a misinterpretation of SB 5814, a bill intended to tax nicotine pouches—not vapor products. However, DOR is applying it to all nicotine-containing vape items, which could double or triple your costs, push customers away with high prices, and wipe out thousands of dollars in inventory overnight.
